Thanksgiving

With Thanksgiving upon us, it is the perfect time to thank our friends and neighbors who have donated clothing and food throughout the year. Thank you to everyone clicking through, reading/following our blogs.

Thank you to The Way World Outreach and the Lighthouse Baptist Church for using Better Bike Ranch bikes for incentive awards and/or gift giving.

Special thanks to Dong S. Kim, MD; Moreno Christian Assembly; and Mark A. Rosa, O.D., and Staff!

We would not have made it as far as we did this year without each and every one of you. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

The Better Bike Ranch Bike Route

We are hoping that the Bike Route via Better Bike Ranch reaches out to all ends of the Earth and we are working hard to make it happen. We couldn't make it this far without your support and donations of bicycles and clothing for those that are in need. Thank you SO much.

The SideCar

A new project and a new mode of transportation has come to Better Bike Ranch. It's my first attempt at a motorcycle and fullsize sidecar.

Hello Again!

Thank you for clicking. So far, we've had 118 clicks; that means 118 bikes will be sent out. But wait, I would like to double that by December to 236. We've sent out 75 and counting. If you like to sponsor a bike, donate time or money, please contact us @ (951) 924-9277. I know with your help we can achieve this goal.

Our newest addition to our effort is above. We didn't have to go to the Adirondacks Ranch, Kamloops, Vineo, Bar H, IMBA, be Republican or any of that. That would have just been too much. It was ONLY about 30 miles away.

Thank you so much for your support.

Please watch your step and exit to the right .

Welcome Back

You are a part of the world's largest bike giveaway attempt. By clicking here you've proven people still communicate with each other and better yet, you're listening.

Your click represents one trip around the world for this picture via modern technology. Where you clicked from represents where one of these very donated bikes might end up. Quite possibly on your own doorstep; helping you, your family, or someone you know.

I'm putting together a "How To" blog on how you can receive and give out bikes at no cost to you besides a little time.

Stay tuned....

The first bike I ever had...

And it seems like my exact bike... I'm in the process of making a 50's style tank from scooter discard.

"Bib"

Special thanks to www.michelin.com.

UPDATE

The Better People at www.michelin.com have graciously allowed me the use of "Bib" the Michelin Man who himself was headed for the shredder because his promo was over. He now has a home with Better Bike Ranch. I look forward to using him in the greater cause of saving bikes from the smelter or landfill and putting bikes back in the hands of people who can use them.

ALSO...

The Better Bike Ranch mascot now has a mySpace page. (thank you to Nana for helping Bear out) Please check out http://www.myspace.com/betterbikeranch. You too can make a life better by giving your unused bike to a need in your own community or contact us and we definitely will!

The Chrome Bike

The Tandem

Bikes Headed to Mexico (Rosey's kids)

A woman named Rosey, who regularly sees kids who are in need of a decent bike, takes my spare bikes and distributes to each kid for free. It took these 17 bikes to get ten up and running as well as safe.

For Isaiah

A couple weekends ago, we went to a benefit fundraiser car show.
In this trying time, any little bit helps. So, I thought I'd try to gather as much food for this family from my friends and neighbors. I told neighbors in the few blocks surrounding my own house that I wanted to load the rocket bike down that the tires broke off! I was very pleased with the results. Thank you to all of my friends and neighbors for helping me help this family.

Current Project

Just started on this cruiser. I will post my progress.

Two Seater Surry Ride

This may have been my first attempt at toy repair. I took a broken down rusted old wagon out of my neighbor's trash. When I was done, he asked that I not let his son see it.

Minor Repairs - modifications later

Next Project

1960ish Royce Union 20" A woman saw my rocket bike and asked if I could rehabilitate her bike. She asked for motor and ratstyle motif. I'll post my progress.
